Yes, and the Free plan is free forever, not a trial that expires. You can write, organize, and export in Neku without ever paying. Paid Pro adds the Storyboard and Annotations, and every account gets a 30-day Pro trial to try them with no card needed.
Does Neku use AI?
No. Neku has no AI writing or generation, and your work is never fed to AI, used to train anything, or shared with third parties. Your story stays yours. The whole idea behind Neku is tools that help you write, not something that writes for you.
Can I import a draft I've already started?
Yes. Upload a .docx or .md file and Neku automatically splits it into chapters, ready for you to keep writing. You don't have to start from a blank page.
Can I export my writing?
Anytime, to DOCX, PDF, or Markdown. Your writing is never trapped in Neku. You can take a clean copy with you whenever you want, for backup or to work elsewhere, with no lock-in.

Do readers need an account to read a story I share?
No. When you share a story, anyone with the link can read it, with no sign-up and no paywall in their way. Only you need an account, and only for writing. Sharing your work with readers, beta readers, or friends stays completely frictionless.
